Dr. Gregory Godon, Practice Owner: 

Gregory W. Godon, VMD, graduated from Lycoming College in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science. He acquired his VMD through the University of Pennsylvania in 1973 and assumed ownership of Antietam Valley Animal Hospital in 1974. He has grown his practice from a house with one examination room to a state of the art facility with four exam rooms, full treatment area, and a preparation and professional operating room facility.

Dr. Godon has served as an officer in the Local, State, and National Veterinary Associations and has been active in serving the community while in Rotary for twenty-five years. He most recently volunteered to provide free veterinary care and treatment to pets in Arizona Indian Reservations.

Dr. Godon's special interests include Cardiology, Plastic Surgery, and of course, puppies and kittens.












Dr. Jamie DeSpirito,  Associate Veterinarian: 


Dr. Jamie DeSpirito received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Vermont in 2001. During her years in Vermont she enjoyed working on a local family owned dairy farm as well as a student run dairy herd. After college Dr. DeSpirito moved to Philadelphia where she worked for a small animal veterinarian to gain some small animal experience while applying to veterinary school. She then made another move to Madison, WI, where she graduated from the Univ ersity of Wisconsin school of veterinary medicine in 2006. She has been an associate here at Antietam since July of 2006. Her special interests include homeopathic and alternative medicine, surgery, and emergency medicine.
 


                                                           

                                                                              Dr. Sherbyn W. Ostrich will be joining out practice on Wednesday, November 4, 2009. Dr. Ostrich has 46 years of veterinary experience. He was the owner of his own practice in Lebanon Country from 1997-2006. He went on to serve as President of the Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association and later as the President of the American Veterinary Medical Association. Since then, he has worked as Chief of Veterinary Medicine at Banfield in Lancaster. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Ostrich to our practice.
